PAYMENT / CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED
All major credit cards accepted. The cost of the rental and the excess are payable at the time of agreement in Mauritian Rupees or Euro at exchange rate.
LICENSE
All drivers must be nominated on the rental agreement and produce a valid Mauritian or Overseas driver’s license. Drivers must be at least 21yrs old and should possess a driving license at least one year.
FUEL
Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned same. If not a refueling fee applies.
MILEAGE
Unlimited mileage.
INSURANCE
Cars are covered by a fully paid comprehensive insurance policy. In case of accident with the responsibility of the driver an excess of €750 is applicable. However in case of total loss with or without the responsibility of the driver an excess of €1250 will be applicable. The excess can be reduced to € 375 by payment of an extra €7 per day. Damages caused to the top and below of the vehicle as well as inside deteriorations, burnt parts will be charged to the client even in case of buying of excess. In case of accident, if the driver is under the influence of alcohol, 100% cost of damage will be charged.
DRIVER’S & PASSENGERS INSURANCE (PAI)

MAXIMUM COVER
€ 2,500 for the driver and per passenger in case of death or permanent disablement.
MEDICAL EXPENSES
€750 for the driver and per passenger in case of accident.
DAMAGE OR LOSS OF EQUIPMENT
Damage or loss of equipment are not covered by the insurance and are therefore the responsibility of the hirer
VAT
A state government stamp duty at the prevailing rate applies on all rental agreements.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER
Free
DRIVER GUIDE
€17 per day for a maximum duration of 8hrs.
€3 per additional hour.
€20 for Sunday and public holiday.
RENTAL DURATION
A rental is a 24hr period from the commencement of rental. An additional fee of €3 from Monday to Sunday and €10 on Sunday and public holidays will be charged for every hour late. Extensions must be notified in advance to our main office to maintain insurance cover.
CLEANING
All vehicles must be returned in a clean condition. Any excessive interior or exterior cleaning will be charged. Cars must be returned to us for general checked-up at the mileage stated on card fixed on the windscreen, another vehicle will be arrange for you.
AIRPORT DROP IN / OFF
For rental of more than 4 days FREE
For rental of 1 to 3 days an additional fee of €10 is applicable per trip.
ACCIDENTS
All accidents, even the slightest must be reported to the nearest Police Station and to L’oasis Vacances Ltd within the next 4 hours.
EXTRAS
Car and booster seat:
